Node Details

Moonbase

Moonbase is at the top of a 2 story house with a flat roof. It's a solar node from Seeed Studio. The back of the house faces east. It has a 5 dBi weatherproofed antenna. This is a solar node, powered mainly by the integrated solar panel, but it is capable of running on batteries for 2 weeks without recharging. The node is mounted on a basic mast meant for satellite dishes. It picks up about 60 online nodes.

The purpose of this node is to act as a relay for Haarlem Zuid/Heemstede and the surrounding areas. It stays in CLIENT role, but is not monitored for messages. You cannot send direct messages to it.

Atlavox WisBlock 4631 Radio

projectmoon is an Atlavox M1 radio, using the WisBlock 4631 chip. It's a portable node with a 2.5 dBi antenna, pre-assembled by Atlavox. It normally sits on a windowsill at the back of the house, right below Moonbase. It normally picks up around 70 online nodes from this position. This is the main node I use to communicate, and it normally stays at my house in CLIENT_MUTE role. Sometimes, I will bring it with me out and about in CLIENT role.

projectmoon mobile is a portable node from Seeed Studio, meant to be carried on your person. I usually take this one with me if I'm out and about. But otherwise, it's turned off. When it's on, this node is in CLIENT or TRACKER role. Sometimes, I will use it from home directly connected to my laptop in CLIENT_MUTE.
